Laboratory, Notebooks & Workbooks

The Laboratory webapp

Every chapter of the book ends with a Capital Systems Laboratory section specifying a module: purpose, inputs, outputs, model assumptions, numerical method, suggested experiments, and validation checks. The laboratory implements those sections one-for-one, with the book’s seeds (2026CCNN), so the numbers agree by construction.

Per-chapter downloads

All three companions run the same Python engine — identical seeds, identical numbers. Notebooks are rendered with their charts; workbooks carry live formulas beside engine values; slides are ready-to-teach PowerPoint decks.

Reproducibility

Seeds follow the book convention 2026CCNN and are printed in every output. Each chapter’s engine carries a validation_checks() function returning a flat ALL_PASS; the laboratory’s validation endpoint (/api/chNN/validation) re-runs each chapter’s checks on demand. Every notebook ends by asserting ALL_PASS, so a rendered notebook is itself a proof that its numbers match the book.
